it’s one of the most widely used KPIs in manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics operations to measure how effectively equipment is being used.
Definition
OEE = Availability × Performance × Quality
It expresses how close you are to perfect production (producing only good parts, as fast as possible, with. r. no stop time).
Componentsz rh. R.
Availability – Measures equipment uptime vs. planned production time.
Performance – Measures actual output vs. ideal speed.

Quality – Measures good output vs. total output.
Application in Cold-Chain Logistics
Example:
If a cold store’s blast freezer is available 90% of the time, running at 85% speed, and 95% of output is within temperature specs,
OEE = 0.90 × 0.85 × 0.95 = 72.7%
→ This means there’s a 27.3% performance loss to recover.
